BASSO olive pomace oil is obtained from a blend between refined olive pomace oil and extra virgin olive oil. Olive pomace oil is rich in oleic acid, thus, it can resist very high temperatures and has a high smoke point (temperature at which the oil begins to deteriorate producing volatile toxic substances such as acrolein).
This feature makes it a great product for frying every kind of dishes. This oil is especially suitable as an ingredient in bakery products (cakes, bread, bagels, biscuits, etc.). Thanks to its high content of waxes, it is able to give these products a friability similar to that obtained by using butter.
